Manly Properties are now proposing two 20-storeys on the 281-297 Montague Road site (currently the QBCC building and TOMRA recycling beside Davies Park). This will reduce the number of apartments down from 470 to 349.
The developers have said “The revised design is further aligned with community expectations about the number of storeys to be built….”
This is absolute nonsense – 20 storeys overshadowing one of the little pieces of green space we have in that area, and what would equate to around 500 new cars on an already congested road, does not align with community expectations.
But the Council could approve this new proposal within weeks so we have to act fast.
Put in another quick submission on the development application to send a clear message to Council that our community does not accept this new proposal.
